Hey Beauties!
Here is my late Easter NOTD. I wanted to put this up at the same time that I posted my video tutorial, and that took me ages to edit! It was my first try, so I had a lot of errors, lol. ^_^ This look is inspired by the “Trendy Tips” nail art kit that I bought from Nasty Nails, and I used it to create this manicure.
Here is the photo from Nasty Nails:
and here is the Kit:
I think it looks so beautiful! Would you guys wear a look like this? It is a great way to mix up neutrals and pastels or neons, which is very on-trend right now.
Here is everything that came with it: Essie “Tart Deco”, Essie “Play Date”, Essie “Sand Tropez”, Essie “Mint Candy Apple”, Orly “Spark” and some silver striping tape. All of this for only $25.99!
Orly “Spark” is a bright ‘sunshine’ yellow creme
Essie “Tart Deco” is a beautiful coral creme. It looks quite pastel in the bottle but really comes off quite bright on the nail!
Essie “Play Date” is a pale lavender creme. It reminds me of “She’s Picture Perfect” from their spring line last year (I think), but without the golden shimmer.
Essie “Sand Tropez” is the base colour for this manicure. I know that a lot of people love it for a neutral polish. I don’t think I would ever wear this on it’s own, it doesn’t work well enough with my skin tone, but I did love it as the base for brightly coloured nail art!
Essie “Mint Candy Apple” has a bit of a cult following in the beauty world, and I figured this was the ideal way for me to get my hands on it. I really found it more blue than green and I was really surprised. It is beautiful though!
This colour didn’t come with the kit, and I didn’t use it in the manicure, but I did buy it as a single polish for only $4! Essie “Bobbing for Baubles” is a beautiful steely-blue. It is a deep navy colour with almost a “smoky” effect. I love it!
And here is my version! I threw in Essie “Mojito Madness” on my thumb, because I needed a fifth colour to round it out nicely! Be sure to watch my tutorial for a step by step on how to create this look!
All in all I am really happy with this kit. Nasty Nails has tons of these kits as well as polish strips and single polishes, all at really great prices, and with free shipping =). I have my eye on a few more, and I will be sure to review them for you should I decide to purchase.
This post is not sponsored, I’m just really happy with the experience!
Have you ever purchased from Nasty Nails? Be sure to tweet me photos if you recreate this look! @wstcoastbeauty
